Merry Christmas!

Howdy everyone and MERRY CHRISTMAS! :) Our family isn't having Christmas (aka: presents and Christmas dinner) until tomorrow because that's when all of our family will be together. My inner child is really showing right now because I'm impatiently waiting to open presents until tomorrow. However, my dad did say I would be able to open one present tonight, so I'm not gonna say no to that! I hope everyone is enjoying the holidays with their loved ones and that you all have been having a marvelous day! I've just been relaxing and watching Downton Abbey (a friend of mine recently got me hooked on that show! It's super good. You should check it out!).
Anywho, I can't believe 2012 is almost over! This year has certainly gone by way too fast, but I am definitely looking forward to 2013. 2013 is my high school graduation year and I also start college that year and I couldn't be happier. I hope that 2013 turns out to be a spectacular year filled with lots of memories (which I'm sure it will be). Best wishes to all of you and Merry Christmas again!

Bring on the heat!

Well, as stated previously, I HATE THE COLD! Yeah, I'm going to college in a town where it gets exceptionally cold, but somehow I know I'll survive. ;) But, as soon as I can, I'm moving somewhere warm.
I've grown up in Washington my entire life where the temperatures vary, but it most definitely is not consistently very warm. My dream is to live somewhere where I don't have to bundle up every time I go outside and where the temperatures tend to range from 70 and above! Some might call me crazy, but that just sounds so wonderful to me!

So, without further ado, here are my top 5 states I would want to live in:

1. South Carolina

2. North Carolina

3. Florida

4. Georgia

5. Texas

Now, for those of you who remember me mentioning prince charming in a previous post...you'll understand why Texas is on my list. ;) I would love to live in Texas even if he didn't live there though! It just looks like an amazing place to live (and it doesn't have a high tax rate, which always is a bonus considering here in Washington our tax rate is pretty close to about 10%, which is ridiculous!)

Anyways, hope everyone is having a fabulous day!

Ciao!

Lots and lots of Christmas cheer!

Good news everyone! I'M GOING TO COLLEGE!!!

I received the news on Monday and it seriously made me so happy. I love that I got my acceptance letter to Utah State University right before Christmas...it was a pretty sweet early Christmas present. :) Just in case y'all are curious, I really wanted to go to USU because they have an amazing elementary education program (I want to be an elementary school teacher someday). Yes, the weather can get super duper cold there in the winter (and if you know me, I hate the cold and want to live somewhere very warm, like Texas), but I was willing to deal with the weather to go to an amazing school.

I hope everyone is getting excited for Christmas! I know I am!! We got our Christmas tree today and are currently residing at our little cabin in the snowy woods. It's quite peaceful. :)

Long distance friends.

Most people when they hear "long distance friends" just roll their eyes and say "Psh, how could that even possibly go over well or last long?" Well, I'm hear to testify that it can work and has been such a blessing in my life to have acquired so many wonderful long distance friendships. In fact, I probably talk to my long distance friends more than I talk to my friends here in Washington because I miss them so much and never (or barely) get to see them. It is my belief that when you can't physically be there with someone, you gain a lot more respect for them and trust them because they live so far away.
I don't even know how it all happened. I'm always on my computer or iPhone, which I will admit helped me to acquire 3/4 of the out of state friends I have. My out of state friends make me smile in so many ways and we have all seemed to click so well. I've recently started to consider whether or not I was destined to meet these friends that live far away-it's definitely challenged my patience (I'm a VERY impatient person).
All, I can say, whatever the reason may be, is that I love my long distance friends and prince charming so much and I hope they know it! For some, I can understand, it wouldn't be easy to take the time to talk with those that don't live very close, but for me, it's fun. It's fun to talk with someone who experiences the same trials as you, or shares the same sense of humor as you, or trusts you even though they live far away. If any of you are on the border about developing an out of state friendship or relationship, just try it and see. It might be the right fit for you!

Toodles!

Apologies, my friends.

Yes, I do still exist. :)

Sorry, friends, for not posting in months...and it's not because I've been busy. This senior year had a stressful start, but within the past month or so I've been finishing homework up at an early hour and just not wanting to do really that much after I finish besides lay down and just be a lazy lil' lass. But, after reading some of the blogs I follow, it inspired me to get back into the habit of blogging. I hope all has been well with everyone and that you're all enjoying this lovely Christmas season. <3
