Patience, pretty please?

I hate how impatient I am. It drives me crazy and it stresses me out sometimes. Yes, I realize everyone has their flaws and nobody is perfect, but patience is something I'm really striving for at this point in my life. If I'm going to become an elementary school teacher one day, patience is something I really need to learn. I think too often I expect too much from people, whether it be my friends or family, and that's simply not fair. How would I like it if someone expected too much from me?

Yes. I'm one of those girls that freaks out and over thinks things. If someone, for example, a boy I like, doesn't text me back right away or just doesn't reply to my texts at all...I stress out. I stress out so much that sometimes I can't even get to sleep at night. I need to stop.

I'm grateful that I recognize my imperfections. I'm glad that I know that I'm impatient so I can do my best to overcome this flaw. It's something I'm really trying to work on. One day I'll get there...

In the meantime...here's an embarrassing photo of me (taken a couple years ago by my padre). Enjoy! ;)

Adventures in Logan

Yesterday my friend, Rashail, and I went exploring with my camera out in Logan. We were in the mood to take some fun, artsy fall pics. Here they all are below. Hope you enjoy. :) Also, have a great weekend everyone!

My life lately...

Man, it's so hard to keep on top of blogging in college. Forreals. I feel like I'm either too busy to blog (or sometimes too lazy hehe (; ). Also, I hate Mondays. I'm so friggin tired right now. I mean, the tiredness is partially my fault because I have this habit of staying up too late, when I could be going to bed a lot earlier. I guess you could say I'm all about that night life ;) Jaykay. I just cherish the time I get to myself when I do get it. Peace and quiet is something I really miss. My dorm isn't exactly the quietest, unfortunately. :(

However, I'm listening to some Arcade Fire, eating some greek yogurt and carrot sticks, and just chillaxing for the afternoon. I'm happy. I'm thinking about watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles because my friend Chase says I need to see it. Well, apparently there's a couple movies, but I'm gonna start with the first one. Crossing my fingers that this is gonna be a good movie.

I do have some pleasant news. I was able to attend the Saturday afternoon session of general conference this past weekend and it was fantastic. It was such a great opportunity to be sitting in the same room as our lovely church leaders, especially our prophet, Thomas S. Monson. I think my favorite session of general conference was the Sunday afternoon session. President Monson's and Elder Eyring's talks were so inspirational. You can view them here and here. :) I'm so grateful to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! I'm most certainly not perfect, but I try my best to be a good example. I certainly want to get into the habit of reading and studying my scriptures more. The church leaders bring up how important doing so is and I feel like I should just take their word for it and do it!

Other news...

I went shopping this weekend (whoop whoop!) :) It was fantastic. I got some sweaters and many other warm, fall clothes from Urban Outfitters (basically my favorite store) and I got a dress and some perfume from Anthropologie. Shopping is something that never gets old, in my opinion.

Oh! I also got an iPhone 5! :) I love it. It's soo much bigger and faster than my previous phone, an iPhone 4. It was time for an upgrade haha.

Also, I've really been missing my trip to Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and the Netherlands a few years ago (in 2011). Here's a few pics from that trip below. I wanna go back to those countries soon.

Sooo I'll end this with one of my fave songs from Beach House. I've really been digging them lately. Ciao! :)
